started in 1979 as a reaction to the unjust situation of Indian
children. It is an independent organization; its chief objective
is to restore to Indian children their basic right to food, shelter,
education - in short, a future.
- Florida Mental Health Institute - Child and Family Studies Division
Research within the Department of Child and Family Studies (CFS)
focuses on prevention, intervention and systems of care for children,
adolescents and their families. CFS's education and training program
includes training for professionals working with children with
serious emotional disturbances and their families. The department
offers supervised placements for graduate and undergraduate students
in education, special education, psychology, public health and
other disciplines with an interest in children.
- National Child Rights Alliance
In 1986, six youth and adult survivors of child abuse and neglect
formed what has become a nation-wide movement, the National Child
Rights Alliance, which is the only national organization directed
entirely by youth and adult survivors of abuse and neglect. (Non-abused
supporters are important to our work as well.)

Protection and Recovery of Missing, Abused and Exploited Children.
- Children International
dedicated to improving the quality of life and meeting the needs
of more than 187,000 poor boys and girls, crippled children, widows,
and other poverty-stricken people world-wide.
