active at this Conference and I would like to call now upon Dr.
Jolly.

Dr. Jolly that was in the best Jim Grant and UNICEF tradition.
You raised our sights as to what we could accomplish and then
you delivered a very clear message from one Canadian city on one
coast to the meeting that will gathering in Halifax (G7 meeting)
in two weeks' time. Thank you.
One of the traditions of Canada of which we are most proud is
that we quite regularly see that some of our most accomplished
citizens go on from our country to serve internationally. And
I want now to call upon one of those persons. Not just a Canadian
but also a British Columbian, Mrs. Margaret Catley-Carlson, the
President of the Population Council.
